The Ram Heavy Duty has been completely redesigned for 2019, getting a towing capacity of up to 35,100 lbs. and a payload capacity of up to 7,680 lbs as well as a quieter cabin due to active noise cancellation, anti-vibration devices, and acoustic glass. As for powertrains, the standard engine in Ram 2500 and 3500 (higher gross vehicle weight rating) models is a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 delivering 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque while a 6.7-liter Cummins turbocharged diesel inline-6 making 400 horsepower and up to 1,000 lb-ft of torque is optional. (Another available variant of the Cummins diesel generates 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque.) Notable options include an Active-Level rear air suspension which includes a bed-lowering mode, a cargo-view camera, and Uconnect 4C Navigation with a 12-inch fully configurable touchscreen. Customers can choose between Regular Cab, Crew Cab, and large Mega Cab body styles. Those looking for an off-road-capable truck can get the Power Wagon with a factory suspension lift, locking front and rear differentials, disconnecting sway bar, and a 12,000-lb. winch.
