The Jetta compact sedan, redesigned for 2019, is available in base S, midrange SE, sport-oriented R-Line, premium SEL, and top-end SEL Premium trim levels. The sole engine is a 4-cylinder making 147 horsepower. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trim levels except S, which gets a 6-speed manual standard with the automatic optional. Standard features include alloy wheels, LED headlights, split-folding rear seat, MIB II touchscreen infotainment system, Start/Stop System on automatic-transmission cars, and Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. The Jetta is available with features optional on more expensive cars such as leather seats with front ventilation and driver memory on the SEL Premium trim, blind spot monitoring and forward collision warning on SE levels and higher, BeatsAudio system, and Volkswagen Digital Cockpit technology, which offers drivers a reconfigurable instrument-panel screen on SEL trims and above.
